FREDDY HIRSCH KALAHARI BILTONG SPICE is a very popular blend of spices with a prominent beef "country" flavour.

Instructions: use 40-50 g spice per Kg meat. Mix/tumble the spice, meat and any additional ingredients together; leave overnight to marinate; mix tumble again, then dry to 40-50% moisture loss.

Ingredients: Flavouring, sea salt, dextrose, spices (irradiated), preservative (potassium sorbate E202) and spice extract. Contains genetically modified organisms.

Not suitable for people with wheat gluten, soya bean, milk or egg allergies.

    Exactly the way I remember it, when you smell it, it's like nothing else. I've tried to replicate it but there's little point when you can buy it so easily. Faster than expected delivery time and what I received was manufactured < 4 months ago, so can happily store for a few years although I doubt it's going to last that long. This is the perfect beginner spice for that real biltong smell/taste. Been a few years since my last batch so back to basics that I know works - 2.5 kg currently hanging and I can't wait!!!! With a few mates and beer we'll finish it all in 1 night easy.
